It is God Who is Working in You [1 Corinthians 3:1-9]

5What then is Apollos? And what is Paul? Servants through whom you believed, even as the Lord gave opportunity to each one.

6 I planted, Apollos watered, but God was causing the growth. 7So then neither the one who plants nor the one who waters is anything, but God who causes the growth. 8Now he who plants and he who waters are one; but each will receive his own reward according to his own labor. 9For we are God's fellow workers; you are God's field, God's building.

What is the problem being addressed? Jealousy and strife. Focusing on the people who are sharing the truth, thinking they are causing the growth.  God (through Paul) says that when we are stuck in this we are people living in our flesh, babies in Christ. God calls us to the truth:

- The servants are doing what God has given them to do

- God causes the growth

- The people who are helping us believe are God's co-workers

- We are God's field, God's building

May we by God's grace "keep our eyes on Jesus, the source and perfecter or our faith" today. (Hebrews 12:2, Holman CSB)
