Jesus' Family [Luke 8]

21But He answered and said to them, "My mother and My brothers are these who hear the word of God and do it."

When I think of mothers and brothers, I think of family and intimacy. These few words that Jesus spoke so long ago invite you to be an intimate part of His family. Family can come and go as they please. They have the key to your door and easily make themselves at home. When they are hungry, they feel free to raid the refrigerator. You welcome them with open arms, an open heart and an open home. When they have a problem or are sick, you are there for them. How wonderful that God has invited you to be part of this kind of intimacy with Him.

May you hear the Word of God and do it by His grace and experience the intimacy of being part of Jesus' family.
