Take Him at His word

1 John 5:14-16

14This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. 15And if we know that he hears us—whatever we ask—we know that we have what we asked of him.

16If anyone sees his brother commit a sin that does not lead to death, he should pray and God will give him life. I refer to those whose sin does not lead to death. There is a sin that leads to death. I am not saying that he should pray about that.

Dear Warriors,

These verses are a blessing and a wake up call.  We are given a glimpse of the incredible grace that is available to us if we ask according to His will.  What a comfort for me and encouragement for you as you face life's challenges.  I think of my son in Afghanistan and am humbled at these words and the blessings availble to him in time of need.  "Whatever we ask!"

Thank you, Lord.

The second part I had to include as you are living in close quarters and defending each other's back.  I do ask that you would pray for your brothers and "God will give him life!"  It is an opportunity to share the gifts that you have been given and a glimpse of His glory.

Lord,

I thank you for your powerful word and the blessings that await us.  Cause our dear warriors to take your words to heart and the opportunity they have to walk with their brothers in faith.  We ask this boldly in His name.
