Establishing God's Peace
Practicing Righteousness [1 John 2]
28Now, little children, abide in Him, so that when He appears, we may have confidence and not shrink away from Him in shame at His coming.29If you know that He is righteous, you know that everyone also who practices righteousness is born of Him.
I am a mess, but I have confidence before God as I grow in abiding in Him and His ability to live well through me. There are times that I fail miserably to live righteously in Him, but as I go to Him and work it out with Him, I can find peace and joy in His righteousness and do not have to shrink away from Him in shame. I can't live right, but He can through me if I will go to Him in my weakness and appropriate His strength.
We praise You that You have made a way for us to abide in You and Your righteousness. We praise You that even when we fail, we can still come to You to receive all we need to live better. Cause us to grow in abiding in You so that we may have confidence at Your coming and not shrink away in shame.
